SMS & Voice Consent Policy
Last updated 7 August 2026
We only text or call people who have said yes out loud, we say what the messages are for before we ask, and “STOP” ends it immediately. Consent is never a condition of doing business with us, and phone numbers are never sold, rented or shared for anyone else’s marketing.
This page describes how individuals give consent to receive text messages and phone calls from Jorge Alejandro Diez (“we”, “us”) using our toll-free business number, and how that consent is recorded and withdrawn.
1. Who we are
Jorge Alejandro Diez — an independent AI engineering and consulting practice. Contact: alediez2408@gmail.com.
2. What the messages are for
Messages and calls are conversational and transactional. They are sent only to people who have already been in contact with us, and relate to:
- scheduling, confirming, rescheduling and reminding about consultation calls;
- following up on a conversation you and we are already having — answering a question, confirming a detail, sending a link we said we would send;
- updates about an active project or engagement you are party to.
We do not send bulk marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not text people who have not spoken with us.
3. How consent is collected
Consent is collected verbally, during a live call, before a number is added to any messaging list. The representative on the call reads the following, and waits for an explicit “yes”:
“Hi, this is Jorge Alejandro Diez. I’d like to text or call you from time to time about scheduling our calls and following up on what we discussed. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for assistance. This isn’t required to work with us. Our Terms and Privacy Policy are at jorgealejandrodiez.com/terms and jorgealejandrodiez.com/privacy. Is it okay if I add you to receive these messages?”
[Wait for an explicit “yes”.] “Great — I’ll send you a confirmation text shortly.”
A silent, ambiguous, or implied answer is not treated as consent. If the answer is anything other than a clear yes, the number is not added.
A confirmation text is sent to the number immediately afterwards, restating who we are, the purpose, and the STOP and HELP keywords.
4. How consent is recorded
For every number added, we retain a record containing:
- the person’s name and the phone number consented;
- the date and time consent was given;
- the representative who collected it;
- the purpose that was described, and confirmation the script above was read.
These records are retained for at least four years and are available on request to the individual, or to our messaging provider or a carrier conducting an audit.
5. Message frequency
Message frequency varies with your interaction with us. In practice this is typically fewer than 5 messages per month, and most are direct replies within a conversation you started.
6. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply to messages you send and receive. We do not charge for messages.
7. How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving messages. The keywords STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT are all honoured. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that.
You may also opt out by telling us on a call, or by emailing alediez2408@gmail.com. Opting out of messages does not affect any other part of working with us.
8. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email alediez2408@gmail.com. Replying HELP returns our name and contact details and a reminder of how to opt out.
9. Consent is never required
Agreeing to receive text messages or calls is not a condition of purchase and not a condition of any service, consultation or engagement. Declining changes nothing about how we work with you.
10. We do not share your number
Phone numbers and consent information collected for text messaging are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes, and are not shared with any third party for any purpose unrelated to delivering the messages you consented to. They are handled by our messaging provider solely to transmit those messages, and may be disclosed where required by law.
11. Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device.
